NETOPIA Payments announces partnership with Elrond, the Romanian startup that develops a new blockchain and a new cryptomonda

NETOPIA Payments, the largest electronic payment processor in Romania, announces the partnership with Elrond, an IT company with Romanian know-how that develops a new, more scalable and more efficient blockchain platform with negligible fees and transaction processing in just a few seconds.

Through this partnership, NETOPIA and Elrond will jointly explore the potential of the ERD token integration developed by Elrond on the NETOPIA Payments payment platform. Thus, from the second half of next year, over 6,000 merchants using NETOPIA Payments solutions will be able to accept cryptomoneda ERD without additional development or exploitation costs.

"Elrond has the mission to help people enjoy more freedom and more peace when they are online and especially when making payments. By working with NETOPIA and by including ERD as a payment option, this new partnership will make thousands of consumers benefit from extra security and enjoy faster and easier payments, "said Beniamin Mincu, CEO and Founder of Elrond.

Elrond management also includes well-known names in the IT industry in Romania, such as: Lucian Todea (CON Elrond / Founder & CEO ITNT) and Lucian Mincu (CTO Elrond / co-founder of Metachain Capital and ICO Market Data).

"Like Elrond, NETOPIA is a disruptive leader in its field, and this partnership is an excellent opportunity to provide new services to partner merchants and their customers. It is encouraging to work with an innovative partner who is committed to mutual success. We look forward to developing new innovative payment solutions with Elrond that will benefit our customers and contribute to the continued growth of NETOPIA Payments services, "said Antonio Eram.

Also, the representatives of the two companies expressed their common interest in exploring other cases of potential use of the new platform, related to blockchain technologies, payments, privacy, and not only.
