It is located in Hunedoara City (70,000 inhabitants) at a distance of 15 km from other relatively big city - Deva (70,000 inhabitants) Hunedoara City was dependant significantly by the iron and steel industry. The Iron and Steel Plants of Hunedoara reached the peak of its development between 1980-1985 when it had more than 20,000 employees. After 1990 the steel production entered in a pronounced decline process. In this respect there took place successive reductions of the labor force. The last wave of dismissals has been registered in June 2003 when have been fired over 3,500 employees. Accomplishing of he industrial park started in the spring of 2003. The park's area is of 193,000 square meter and it is divided in 26 plots of land with areas comprised between 2,500 and 10,000 square meter. The plots of land will be granted on a period of up to 49 years or will be sold to the investors which will locate in the park. The process of dividing into lots is a flexible one in order to be satisfied the specific requirements of in investors. The access to the park can be done directly from the National Highway Hunedoara - Deva. The park has complete utilities for any type of industrial investment: electric power supply, natural gas supply, drinkable water supply, sewerage, natural drainage, wire communications, roads, parking, protection means, endowments for fire extinction. The park's land is prepared for accomplishing the buildings suitable for industrial objectives' implementation. The Administrator Company of the industrial park will provide consulting to the investors during the entire period of investments' implementation and production capacities' operation. Consulting will cover different issues: legislation, obtaining the approvals and agreements for accomplishing the objectives, solutions of constructions' design, marketing, connections with suppliers and networks etc. Fiscal facilities awarded to the investors of the Industrial Park of Hunedoara: a) returning the custom duties for raw materials, spare parts and components that have been imported and that are necessary for accomplishing the own production; b) reduction of taxes and fees owed to the local authorities; c) deduction from profit taxation of an amount equal with 20% of the performed investments' value, for investments that exceed EUR 1 million. As comparative advantages offered by the Industrial Park of Hunedoara for investors can be remarked: 1. Advantages concerning the labor force: - Existence of a well skilled labor force and in many professions. The colossus Iron and Steel Plants of Hunedoara constructed following the model of big metallurgical plants of French Lorena or Ruhr has been, in fact, an integrated industrial complex, where were working workers of all professions. Tradition has been perpetuated until today. Practically, for any industrial profession exist workers very well skilled; - Having a long industrial tradition, Hunedoara City is an industrial city which started 125 years ago. In Central and Eastern European Countries are only a few locations which benefit of such a tradition, tradition which is a guarantor of the labor force quality. - Availability of the labor force to accept more difficult labor conditions, this availability being emphasized by the recent increasing of unemployment rate; - Malleable character of the labor force. At Hunedoara was registered no social conflict. There was no strike not even during the moments of mass collective dismissals; - Existence in the city of an university center and a high-school education network able to train graduates at high level. 2. Advantages concerning the market: - Location in the center of historical province - Transylvannia. On a radius of 200-250 km is a market with about 6,5 million consumers - the market with highest level of consumption in Romania; - Location at 7 km from the main European Road that crosses Romania; - Position at maximum 20 km from a future highway that will be accomplished on the European Transport Corridor 4, Budapest - Nadlac - Bucharest - Constanta, the main corridor that crosses Europe from West to South-East; - Position at 15 km from the railway existent on the Transport Corridor 4, Budapest - Bucharest, this railway being revamped within the framework of an European Union Project; - Location at not much than 200 km from the Romanian border with European Union. 3. Advantages concerning the location: Possibility to accomplish new, modern, non-restricted buildings in a place where exist all utilities. The Administrator Company of the Industrial Park of Hunedoara is looking for investments in different activity fields, investments that should generate work places. For example are expected production capacities for: a) electronic components, for example components for communications performed from satellite, batteries for mobile phone devices, electrical installations based on solar energy and others; b) constructions and mechanical sub-assemblies, for example sinterized metallic products, products of high hardness, hydraulic sub-assemblies; c) plastic material objects; d) packages for food industry as well as other fields. Any non-pollutant investment, that generates work places is welcome and will be received accordingly! BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES: The park's area (193,000 s.m.) will be divided into parcels of land. These parcels of land will be for renting or granted to the potential investors according to the Romanian Legislation in force. In present there is a number of 14 parcels of land, equipped with necessary utilities, i.e.: - water - 20 l/s = 72 mc/h = 625,000 cum/year, pressure - 3 barr; - sewerage; - energy connection power - 1,600 KVA (1,600 KW); - low pressure gas - 2 barr, Q - 400 cum/h; - roads; - railway. Potential investors have the possibility to build here a production hall through their own administration or specialized companies.
