Brad Keywell, CEO Uptake Technologies Inc.:  "The revolution in data collection and predictive understanding that support global industries to become disruptive is just the beginning. As an entrepreneur in this constantly changing field, I aim to create sustainable solutions for some of the most pressing economic and social challenges in the world. "

In this year's edition, 57 finalists competed for the grand prize. Romania was represented by Ovidiu Sandor, the winner of EY Entrepreneur of the Year - Romania 2018, founder and CEO of Mulberry Development, an entrepreneurial company in Timisoara that develops top real estate projects.

Ovidiu Sandor, CEO Mulberry Development:  "The event was a good opportunity to meet other successful entrepreneurs around the world with fascinating stories that innovate, create and develop the world around them. There have been some inspirational days through exchanges of ideas, in a different business context, with special people. "

"This year we were present for the fourth time in the world final of the EY World Entrepreneur Of The YearTM competition. I still believe that entrepreneurship is crucial for Romania and that through this program we have succeeded in changing perceptions and contributing to the creation of a stronger local entrepreneurial ecosystem, " said Bogdan Ion, Country Managing Partner, EY Romania and Moldova and Chief Operating Officer for EY Central and South Eastern Europe and Central Asia Region.
